Members receive The APS Bulletin, which is published quarterly and offers an in-depth look at all aspects of the peony for backyard gardeners, hybridizers, hobbyists, commercial growers and cutflower merchants. The APS Bulletin's advertisers provide source information for peony and garden purchases. Members also receive the annual Yearbook.
Other benefits include...
- Contact with other peony devotees and local and regional societies' information. See the APS Membership Roster to locate members in your area.
- Seed Distribution Program - A list of seeds is published on the website when available, with distribution early in the new year. For a nominal fee members may request the seeds of their choice.
- An Annual Meeting in various North American locations, featuring peony-related events and activities, such as, informative talks and discussions, a banquet followed by an auction, cutflower exhibits and garden tours.
- APS acts as the International Cultivar Registration Authority for peonies. While supervising nomenclature and publishing checklists, the history of the peony is also maintained. Color photos of new registrations are featured in The Bulletin.
